STEEL PRICE OBSERVATORY – STEEL PRICES SHOW SUSTAINED INCREASES

The prices of steel derivatives show a growth trend that will continue, at least in the medium and long term, due to the increase in industrial activity. This price growth is associated with the increase in world economic activity, especially in the geographical areas of North America, Europe, the Middle East and East Asia. This increase in economic activity is related to greater control of the COVID19 epidemic in these geographic areas, and an associated relaunch of business operations.

For its part, the SCRAP, shown below, has reached prices in the LME Spot market of 525 US $ / MT.
